Description=Pamplona (autonomous community of Navarra's capital; north to Spain). One year later of Basajaun's crimes, a nine-months pregnant Inspector Amaia Salazar is on the city court waiting for the trial to Jason Medina, accused to rape, mutilate and kill her stepdaughter Johana Márquez. Finding the corpse in Elizondo's surroundings, Amaia and Ibai back to her natal town where she meets again with tarot's card caster Aunt Engrasi, and her older sisters Flora and Rosaura, happy by the new member of the family. Discovering that the two women killed were amputated of their right arm after the crime, it matches with the church's profanation, after to learn that all arms were cut with the same pattern and weapon. Finding that it's related with the Agotes, a tribe pursued in the Middle Age by the Spanish Inquisition due to its pagan beliefs and rites, and that Tarttalo is the name of an ancient myth (a giant who eaten Christians), Amaia asks help by video-conference to her former mentor and FBI's agent Aloisius Dupree, at the same time Aunt Engrasi uses tarot to predict what could will be happen and judge Javier Markina follows with the investigation attentively. Therefore, it causes a cold in James and Amaia's relation, despite he moves Elizondo to be closer of his wife and son. However, the case makes a dramatic twist by double-entry: amputated baby's arm is revealed to be Amaia's twin sister she never knew that existed, and Amaia's mother Rosario, secluded in a mental hospital from many years ago after she tried kill Amaia at child, has killed a male nurse writing with blood "Tarttalo" under the bed, causing of re-apparition of the enigmatic and too psychiatrist Padre Saralosa, interested in Rosario and convincing Amaia to move Rosario to Saralosa's hospital university he leads. Forced to look into her family past, Amaia not only will discover the relation between her mother and a sect dedicated to a pagan cult that included human sacrifices, but that all the crimes have a too much personal connection with her. Hay una etapa de este Camino que saliendo de Berroeta llega a Lantz o Olaguer, que es apasionante, fabulosa, sensacional... aunque el Baztan acaba en esta etapa... Hace dos semanas que hemos acabado el Camino y solo hablamos de la Triologia del Baztan y cuando estamos con amigos, y nos preguntan. jugueteamos con no decirles el final. porque si se sabe, se pierde el interés. Lo que no se pierde jamas es el recuerdo y la ansiedad de volver a estas tierras vaskonavarras. Y no cuento mas. que cada persona saque sus conclusiones...

Based on the best seller Trilogy of Basan, Legado en los huesos is a more solid movie in almost every detail.
Budget has increased and special effects are excellent. Scenery is so perfect photographed that inspire fear and desires to be there all at the same time.
In general all technical and production aspects had improve substantially and not because the first part had any deficiency.
Acting is the only part that requires a little losing up for the main character. Marta Etura a solid actress over acts sometimes or feels too serious for a charismatic character. It is difficult to accept everybody follows and loves her.
There is a third part coming that I expect take care of the new characters. A group of great actors doing very little here. I did not read the books but assume their stories will gain weight on the conclusion.
In brief; a good thriller with many mysteries and some rather unexpected situations.

An Opus Dei priest/psychiatrist who believes real evil is at work in the area. Based on a novel by Dolores Redondo, second in the Baztan Trilogy. Director Fernando González Molina working from a screenplay by Luiso Berdejo delivers an engaging dark thriller. In Spanish, English and Basque, subtitled. On Netflix. 8/10.

Vi por casualidad la promo en Netflix de Herencia en los Huesos, la cual me remitió a El guardián invisible, vi ambas y las amé, ahora a disfrutar del cierre de la trilogía muy bien contada.
